Hey y'all!

Took delivery on March 13th and got the car back from my detailer on March 27th!
Xpel PPF on the front, Xpel Prime XR tint (windshield: 70%, front windows: 20%, back windows: 70%), and a 3 year ceramic coating.

Got some iPhone pics for now but planning to get professional ones in the future. Hope this helps anyone looking to get tint done on their truck. 20% all around with a slight tint on the windshield is the sweet spot!

Great looking truck!

My heritage blue ORP is at XPEL Austin as we speak getting the exact same treatment.

You doing any modifications or keepin' her stock for now?

Thanks! Staying stock for the most part! The only thing I've done so far is switch to a 5w-20 oil after break in. I was thinking about some minor cosmetics (swapping to the Pro/Trailhunter front griller, painted mirror caps, etc.). Honestly, I'm really enjoying this thing as it is!

Congrats on your new 4runner. Everest was my preferred color (haven't seen it in person yet) before seeing your pics. Now I think I'm reconsidering. It just looks too dark in anything but direct sun. Not that it doesn't look good, but I have sworn off dark-colored vehicles because they are a maintenance headache.

Thank you! I think you gotta check it out in person tbh. I was diehard for heritage blue but changed my mind when I saw Everest. It is extremely dynamic and honestly looks awesome in any lighting!

In a "normal" market I could wait to see Everest in person, but I'm expecting I'll have maybe a 1-2 week window where I'm going to have to claim an incoming vehicle with a deposit, without ever driving it or seeing it, before the tariff increases go into effect. Maybe it will be longer than that, but that seems like the relatively safe window to presume. And because every ORP at local dealers is pre-sold and that will surely continue for the next couple weeks, I probably won't get to see any in the interim either. And that's with 4 dealers relatively close to me.

Keep hunting man! I managed to find mine one day before it hit the dealer lot and it was unspoken for. Immediately put down a deposit that day. I might’ve gotten lucky but I’m sure you can find one too!

Nice one! I'm waiting patiently (in DFW area too) for the same 4runner in I-force max powertrain...
Not to open a can of worms here, but why did you switch oil grades?

If you don’t mind me asking, how much is the XPEL PPF costing? I’m assuming you are doing the whole Runner.

Yes, same question - what is the logic of switching to 5W-20 motor oil from 0W-20 ? ? ?

Love the tint! May have to look into that. Took delivery of the same one last Friday after a 4 month wait. First Everest and TRD Pro in our area.

I’m just doing the front bumper and headlights in xpel PPF. The quote for the whole truck was $9k lol.

for front bumper and headlights + fog lights wrapped in xpel
All windows + moon roof + windshield tinted with xpel ceramic tint it was $1500

I always prefer the thickest oil that the manufacturer lets you use during the warranty period. Manual says 5W20 is allowed so I switched after 1000 mile break in! The factory oil has the consistency of water lol. It’s funny because my mpg also went up a bit lol

Paid $550 for xpel fusion on the front, $650 for tint all around, and $1200 for a paint correction/ceramic coating. My car had some pretty bad scratches from transport. Didn’t notice it until after delivery but my detailer took care of it entirely.

Damn Samy, that is a good deal! For a full front PPF, essentially everything to the mirrors on either side, here in MT they are quoting $2,900. To tint the windshield and two front windows only, it is $450. I was thinking about getting the 5 year ceramic and that is another $2,125... Prices are definitely higher in the small towns where there are only a few places within a couple if hundred miles...
