Not unless the dealer wants to remove and show that is the only cause for the noise. I didn’t get that far along as I wanted to research it. It would be a real nuisance on a 7 hr trip.Yeah they're loud as crossbars typically are. They're particularly chunky and could easily be replaced with a more aerodynamic set from Thule or Yakima. Are you saying you won't buy the 4runner now bc of that noise?
They came that way from JAY-Pan,,Check to see if they are in the correct location. There should be an arrow showing you where to place them.
I wanted them..... I road trip in the summers usually and need the extra space for a Cargo Box. IF it does make noise I can't really tell especially when listening to music. The cross bars are a $420 option that probably nobody asks for, and nobody would buy them from you in the aftermarket. It shouldn't even be on the factory options list.

The wind noise is even worse at 85mphTest drove 4R Limited….at 75mph, very irritating wind noise likely coming from the cross bars on the roof?? Anyone else have to remove these? So bad would not buy now.
I have not heard crazy noise with my crossbars highway driving but when I added a set of full length DaKine surf rack pads on the crossbars the noise was horrendous! Had to take the rack pads off even just by themselves. The wind noise is even worse at 85mph
I want to remove asap
