I'm guessing that the tailgate doesn't clear the 1Up single tray in the stowed position? That was a pleasant discovery I made with my 5th gen 4Runner after years of having to lay the tray down before I opened the tailgate with my old Thule rack.
The hybrid motor does the engine starting almost all of the time. The starter on the hybrid is only there essentially as a backup (very cold temps, for example, where the small starter motor has a smaller electrical load requirement than the larger hybrid motor).
Serious late 90s/early 00s Toyota vibes with the color and the bronze badges. It feels like tons of Toyotas came in green with gold badges back then. Looks great. Enjoy.
I have a bunch of blipshift shirts and the "premium tri-blend" with their designs is always a fav of mine. The 6th gen 4runner design is available for another 10 days. They always have new designs across the automotive spectrum every few days.

Yea, that's what people don't seem to be getting. The air dam isn't so much there for the buyer. It helps, of course, but it isn't a large amount of money annually. It does help the manufacturer avoid significant fines so it is 100% worth it from the manufacturer perspective. They split the...
It definitely won't drain down after a week. Cars sit on the lot for well over a week and don't have dead batteries. The toyota official TSB for long term storage calls out something like 1/month starting.
Despite what the window sticker says and what the tariffs say, supply and demand still sets the market price. We saw this during COVID when the demand was still high and the supply was low... prices went through the roof. People paid sticker or above while the overall volume went down...
Thanks for sharing. I had 3 different 5th gens with around 130k combined. I'll always have some nostalgia for that platform because of all the good times I had in them, but driving the newer trucks kinda ruined the driving experience of the 5th gen for me. Engine responsiveness, transmission...
I'm curious on the fitment of those wheels on a 6th gen. That's a nearly a 44mm more poke than stock and a tire tread/section that will also stick out ~10mm further (265 > 285). I'd strongly consider aftermarket fender flares in that case.
Double check that it's ok to mount your desired 285...
I wish they came in a light gray to match the grayscape roof on the two tone LCs. That would be the perfect amount of retro and matchy matchy without going overboard.
What is the offset on the render, @NYTOP ? 25mm?
The remote start with key function on my ‘23 4Runner still worked even after remote services expired. I only lost the ability to remote start via app when the subscription expired.
Tow rating isn't just based on weight, powertrain numbers, gearing, etc. They actually have to test the system at through the J2807 test. Things like handling are evaluated...
" The truck-and-trailer “Combination Handling Requirements” of J2807 specify minimum performance for understeer and...
Eh, Ike’s gauntlet is an edge case. I expect on day to day towing, the LC / 4R hybrid is more pleasant because it won’t be carrying around effectively 450lbs of dead weight (due to the dead battery) like it is on an extended climb.
0.7mpg doesn’t mean much to the individual but it is pretty considerable when it comes to CAFE regulations. That chin spoiler could be the difference of hundreds of dollars of fines per unit. In the industry we fight and scrap for saving cents per unit.
Of course, Toyota is only responsible for...
My plant builds the transmission for the non-hybrid Highlander. The transfer case isn't integrated into the transmission at all. The only way you can tell the difference between an AWD and a FWD transaxle is the shape of the differential (to allow the transfer case to mate to it) and the...
Is that image of the larger premium screen? Or the smaller non-premium screen? I'm assuming the larger of the 2.
My '23 GR Corolla doesn't have the double arrow button but my wife's '25 UX300h and my daily '24 bZ4x have the double arrow. The former has a smaller 7", typical aspect ratio...
