Looking at the online reviews and looking at the spec sheet for the 4runner, I agree that the best value seems to be the Off Road or Off Road Premium trims. They really seems to have everything one needs. Beyond that price point, once you get over $65k, one may as well just shell it out and jump...
I was skeptical when I saw "35s on a 4runner" but that actually looks like they fit really well on the Everest pictures. 33's seem more appropriate for a midsize SUV, but if those 35's work with zero rubbing, nice job Toyota.
Same applies to the Tundra and Sequoia. The Tundra sacrificed the rear underseat storage for the battery, and the Sequoia has abysmal storage between the battery and live axle compared to the Yukon and Expedition which have fold flat seats.
