  1. Lexus GX550 Overtrail+ decision vs the 2025 4Runner TRD Pro

Looking at the online reviews and looking at the spec sheet for the 4runner, I agree that the best value seems to be the Off Road or Off Road Premium trims. They really seems to have everything one needs. Beyond that price point, once you get over $65k, one may as well just shell it out and jump...
  2. 35's, Level Lift Kit, Aftermarket Wheels Volk TE37 on 2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road Build (Everest) by Mjmotorsports808 (6th Gen)

I was skeptical when I saw "35s on a 4runner" but that actually looks like they fit really well on the Everest pictures. 33's seem more appropriate for a midsize SUV, but if those 35's work with zero rubbing, nice job Toyota.
  3. Anyone else considering the Lexus GX 550? - Test drive has me re-considering my future!

Same applies to the Tundra and Sequoia. The Tundra sacrificed the rear underseat storage for the battery, and the Sequoia has abysmal storage between the battery and live axle compared to the Yukon and Expedition which have fold flat seats. Fold flat second row would have been nice in the...
  4. Anyone else considering the Lexus GX 550? - Test drive has me re-considering my future!

No idea. I'd love to test drive one against a 4runneer though. Owner reviews on Youtube seem favorable enough.
  5. Anyone else considering the Lexus GX 550? - Test drive has me re-considering my future!

It's full time 4wd with a lockable torsen center and rear e-locker. And it can run high or low range with the center locked or unlocked.
  6. Anyone else considering the Lexus GX 550? - Test drive has me re-considering my future!

Add me to the list considering the GX550 Overtrail. Here's why: For my purposes, I want the full time AWD with the lockable Torsen. That limits me to the 4runner Limited, Platinum, Land Cruiser and GX550. They're all about the same size, so it comes down to features. The GX also has a 9k tow...
  7. Premium fuel 91 octane gains 20 hp / 14 lb-ft torque (vs. 87 octane) on gas engine 2.4L i-Force -- dyno test

I could believe 20HP if the ECU adds a little boost or timing depending on knock detection. If true, it's a nice HP increase. I'm more likely to spend on 91oct because the engine is turbocharged anyway. I saw another video from Stillen I think on them testing an air intake on the Tacoma iForce...
  8. Factory Wheels & Tires (OEM) -- Offsets, Bore, Sizes, Brands -- 2025 4Runner 6th Gen

I was looking at the 139.7x6 number. Not sure about if the hub bore matters. Maybe an adaptor if necessary?
  9. Factory Wheels & Tires (OEM) -- Offsets, Bore, Sizes, Brands -- 2025 4Runner 6th Gen

From the hub numbers, it stands to reason previous generation 17" and 18" wheels would fit fine, depending on the brake system diameters.
