Thank you :-)
Ah that's interesting!
It does come with drivers position memory function... I was trying to find that one out as I couldn't see it from any of the Toyota provided promo pictures of the cabin
It's so useful and so frustrating not to have the feature... I mean who has electric...
I've seen the LandCruiser Prado (which you guys don't get (from what I've heard) but they have them here in Europe as the 4Runner equivalent - read probably less well equipped) on bubble tires most likely for snow/ice use so probably for Iceland or Greenland or maybe even Scandinavia.
I think...
Actually something that might be of interest (or not?) might be this:
Having seen the 4Runner on 35" tires, it looks like they did something similar to the GX. It kinda looks a little better in my opinion, and reminds of the Camel Trophy too in some ways
Speaking about compressors... that was the small or single one they had so no all 4 tires at the same time.
Apparently there is an even larger one which does all 4 tires at once.
This is actually what I use which is a Ring compressor:
- it's not for "airing down then up" but more for cold...
You're right! I just checked Toyota .com and seems TRD Sport Premium gets the 400W.
I'm sure you can change that later though. Even if Toyota officially doesn't have an "upgrade" option, there will definitely be a way to add a beefier inverter that might even go beyond 2400W??
(oh hang on...
Because of the Hybrid power plant! I think all iForce Max engines get this don't they?
Having that extra battery in the rear allows for a larger inverter is my guess to that one....
Have a look at this:
The GX550 is capable!!
We don't have them in my country but I wouldn't consider one even though I love Lexus. The problem for me is the look... I'm not a fan. That's my personal opinion and subjective!
Having a UK spec IS250 producing a measly 204bhp what I can tell...
@Gustan , it's interesting the design decision to go with the snorkel on Trailhunter and not TRD Pro.
Maybe I'm overthinking this but TRD Pro is designed for speed in Baja and sand etc... so wouldn't that be better to have the raised air intake?
I'm not saying that it shouldn't be on...
Hey that sounds way better then my IS250 <sob!>
You do still get VVTI (variable valve timing) which is good and can hear the whine from the turbo which is nice.
Mind you culturally they are a little picky about vehicle sounds here saying that it is "anti social", another words revving your...
Thanks. I am aware of the dust ingress functionality, hence the reason why the grills are pointing backwards.
One thing that was talked about in one of the videos on YT that I have seen, is that it is especially useful when traveling in a convoy. Especially if you're somewhere very sandy with a...
I think it depends really in what you want ultimately to get out of things.
If you are into standard offroading then even a "softroader" or crossover might be ok, in that case the 4Runner will be more then capable in any trim level.
However, if you want to get into things a little bit more...
As I mentioned above I discovered quite a few comparisons between TRD Pro and Trailhunter trims.
Here are some of the material that I've been paying attention to including having chief engineer 'Sheldon' of the Tacoma actually stating that the 4Runner and Tacoma were drafted up almost together...
Hi everyone,
Misleading title as TH is a beast and I'm biased as I've fallen in love with it!
I have seen a few videos on Trailhunters and comparisons to the TRD Pro and in-field comparisons of Taco's.
As an extremely keen content creator/photographer and someone who would love to get into...
Just going through the video right now.... apologies... I got over excited and my ADHD kicked in before I check the video haha... uh this happens all the time <sigh>
Nice attention to detail!! Love the in-depth shock descriptions.
I think there are subtle differences between the 4Runner and...
I actually saw this video from Canada:
in which they did a test with TRD Pro shocks set to level 1? (softest) vs the TrailHunter which is sprung a lot more stiffly.
Over the woops they got airborne at the back of the Trailhunter while the TRD Pro soaked them up and was able to continue at...
I'm also very interested in this!
I saw a post on the 4runner .com (original?) website possibly for the Gen5. model which linked this place in:
https://mycarimport.co.uk/importing-your-vehicle/outside-eu/
Reading through that it claims that the lighting geometry needs changing?? That kinda...
