depends, i have a great transparent dealer ( i have documented the process with them on my 25 4R, 23 Tundra & 2018 tundra on another forum). but even thats a low blow for shady dealers to buy auction totaled cars to resell as new used vehicle.
i mean to wash titles from totaled to sellable is a...
the seats (at least in the platinum) where night and day compared to my 5th gen on long drive days.
what was soreness and aches in the 5th gen after 10 hrs didnt happen in the 6th gen after 12hr or 14 hr of seat time. was more refreshed vs the 5th gen. so you should be able to do longer travel...
The tragically named The Good Car Dealer in Utah (yes, we get the irony) has been put under the spotlight because of its owner’s business tactics. According to a report by Automotive News, the dealer’s owner, Scott Pryor, has been charged with 15 felonies after he allegedly falsified paperwork...
Toyota’s already rolling out the Texas-built Tundra pickup in Japan. Nissan’s doing the same thing with the Murano, also straight from the States. In a country where big, American-style SUVs and pickups are still a rare sight, these imports are being pitched as something a little different.
And...
so i went and ordered some overlay decals for the rear liftgate "TOYOTA" on my 25 4R Platinum in heritage blue. after talking with rich, he decided that the azure blue wasnt a good match for the heritage blue color. so he suggested i use oracal-951 (ice blue)
here is a pic of them installed. i...
since the waverunner blue was delayed for so long, i am guessing they will continue that color for another year on the pro
sucks cause the wife really likes that color and wants it in a 4R platinum but i dont know if "I" can wait another year for it to drop into the main stream colors. really...
from what i remember most people dont usually deal with "D" rated tires. most either go "C" or "E"
you can get the defender ltx ms2 in XL load ( have these on my 25 4R Platinum)
Load Ranges Abbreviated Maximum Load Pressure
Light Load LL 35 psi (240 kPa)*
Standard...
really depends on your primary purpose of the driving.
city mostly ? i would say a highway biased tire with a SL rating
off road ? more a rugged biased tire (RT)
more offf than highway ? something along the lines of a tire like the dueler ascent a/t
more of a highway than off ? defender ltx...
i think in eco mode or is it snow mode, it will start in 2nd gear ???
i rarely use manual mode, i have learned to feather the pedal enough to tame the turbo boost doing my work day exit ramp from base, its taken a while to make it a muscle memory somewhat.
i am at that point that we are looking at replacing our 23 tundra platnium gas only. its been trouble free 21k miles but i have been pretty strict on replacing the oil at key points (in my opinion)
also the 23 tundra in on the list for a long block replacement
1200 miles / 5k / 10k/ 15k/ 20k...
also replacing the diff will open you up to negating most of the factory warranty (drive line/transmission and anything directly or indirectly connected to the diffs). also will negate any possibility of getting an extended vsa warranty.
check the speaker grilles. our 2016 taco was notorious for squeaks in the dash area. apparently the clearance between the "A" pillar and the speaker was so tight that it would rub depending on temp.
here is a pic when i was isolating the noise, once i did this the noise went away.
our 2018...
as stated by previous poster
1. wildlife
2. eye's cant take the new led headlights anymore (its seems they are very prone to undulations in the road and make them feel like high beams when they are not)
3. hard to see debris in the road
4. risk of sleepy drivers (including myself. i can go...
update 2026-06-15 hybrid only (only reason i am reviving this zombie is we might be in the mode to swap the 23 tundra for a 26 4R Platinum. the wife is going to take the 25 4R Platinum in heritage blue and i will be getting a cutting edge)
the biggest issue can see that is not documented is the engine/transmission and some other drivability things that are reset back to baseline when the 12v battery is pulled.
like how the transmission and engine response is learned over time
the other stuff in the manual is the usually the PDI...
