  1. Ceiling Pod / Map Light Console Removal?

It doesn’t. I’d recommend doing it though since it’s tough to get the headliner to pull down enough to route cables to the windshield without removing.
  2. Trailer Brake Controller Prewiring

It’s super easy to access. Just pop off the driver side under panel
  3. Trailer Brake Controller Prewiring

Wow I totally missed this in the manual. Good find! It should work natively with the harness from the Redarc.
  4. Wireless Charger Mat Pad - aftermarket solution for SR5

The pad I ordered came with double sided tape.
  5. Sour Mildew smell from A/C

This new 6th gen has been the first vehicle I’ve had where the A/C on startup consistently smells like sour armpit when the car is started. I live in SoCal so it’s not like it’s all that moist here either. Not a huge issue, but definitely of note compared to the host of previous vehicles I’ve...
  6. Dashcam installation with Dongar Pro (Update: Now Fixed & Working)

Not sure since I used the Dongar Pro which isn’t a standard interface method.
  7. Front brake squeal when reversing

There's at least 8 people in the FB group that have the same brake squealing issue so its definitely pretty common
  8. Front brake squeal when reversing

Agreed. Will be mentioning it at the first service interval.
  9. Lasfit Floor Mats / Cargo Liner Installed

I have the third row so there are no tiedowns to cover there.
  10. Lasfit Floor Mats / Cargo Liner Installed

It’s been about a month since Lasfit did a full scan of my cars interior and they just installed all the floor mats. Fits the third row nicely and allows for it to come up and down without losing coverage. They let me know that second row seat back coverage is also on the way.
  11. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

Dropping another quick update for everyone. Consistently getting an average of around 21-22 mpg with mixed driving between socal traffic ridden highways and the hilly Laguna area. Drove down to San Diego today at a brisk pace between 75-85 mph and got nearly the 25 mpg value. Extremely...
  12. Dashcam installation with Dongar Pro (Update: Now Fixed & Working)

If it wasn’t clear from the write up. The original Dongar pro was faulty, causing the vehicle to constantly remain awake and drain the battery. They sent a new unit and it works as expected and does not keep the car awake.
  13. HomeLink Mirror Installation in 2025 4Runner (DIY How-to Video)

  14. Removing 2nd row seats

It does throw an error if you have the seats removed. Unfortunately while you can “clear it” with the main infotainment the error is not removable from the history log there. I’d assume that if you put a resistor in series with the connector it’d suffice to shut up the warning
  15. Removing 2nd row seats

The 2nd row seat brackets are pretty simple to remove. You just have to remove the seats which are 4 bolts each and then take off the remaining plastic shroud and it’s another 6 bolts for each side.
  16. (Fixed with PDR, results in thread) Might have the first dent :(

Paintless dent removal technician came today. Went with a company called Pacific Coast PDR. Extremely quick service that was done within an hour. He did not expect the hood to be made of aluminum but completed the PDR for a great price as if it were standard sheet steel. Due to the type of...
  17. Hood is Aluminum material

Did have a chance to have a PDR guy out today to check out the dent in my hood and assess removal. He did inform me that the hood is made of aluminum which may be useful information to yall here. no other body panels were aluminum as tested. Exclusively the hood
  18. HomeLink Mirror Installation in 2025 4Runner (DIY How-to Video)

You can tap into the embedded OEM dashcam plug in the ceiling pod for power even if there is no auto dimming mirror from the factory. Super simple to do
  19. How many of you chose the 7-seat 2025 4runner?

I have the 7 seater. Enjoy it so far since I do hang out with family that have smaller kids. Helpful to carpool together to events etc. Doesn't meaningfully change the cargo space for me to where I'd find issue so may as well have the extra utility
  20. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ⛽️

Still getting about 21-22 mpg combined here. Impressive for how large and heavy this vehicle is especially given how I live in a hilly area. To shame my old 2020 Subaru Outback I used to have, I’m averaging better mpg so far with the 4R.
