It’s all about money. Not every single 4Runner has the problem. Probably costs way to much to switch it now and I bet it changes on a vehicle refresh in a couple years. I mean look the 24 - 26 land cruisers have the same issue and are on the same tsb as the 4Runners and they haven’t fixed it...
They solved it for the Tundras and Sequoia’s. The only difference in their tsb are rotors. Every other part including pads are the same model number.
I am over what is causing the issue.
My current f problem is Toyota dealers don’t repair shit under warranty without their gods approval… Toyota gods won’t let them touch mine other then to look at it and say they are safe. They won’t do the tsb a third time. The regional manager has said no...
It’s so stupid. Brakes have been on cars for like 200 years. We’re not asking for gold out of sand. How is it so hard to address the single most complained about thing.
Welp mine sounded like dog shit today. Tsb applied twice… between this and now another god dam door rattle and the customer experience thus far. After recoup my losses from buying this I’ll get rid of it. Years of nothing but 4Runners and Toyota can go f itself
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls you can search for tsbs here. There isn’t any for ratting yet. My driver door was doing it with certain songs. The dealer connected their phone to my car and duplicated it. Unfortunately now I can hear passenger side rattling
Must be something that’s different about them. I haven’t really seen any complaints from tacos with squealing brakes and I haven’t even seen a tsb for it. Interesting every other one of their vehicles on the tnga f platform have a tsb for squealing brakes. Tundra, Land Cruiser, sequoia, 4Runner.
Dont even bother with the Toyota app it’s Buggy and constantly asks you shit on your phone. Download the Lexus’s app works exactly the same without any issues. The Toyota app would constantly pop up asking if I want to ignore or allow the Toyota app. I don’t own a Lexus I got two Toyotas.
Do you mean backwards as the temp should be on the passenger side? Cause I feel like the temp should be there and the flow amount should be closer to me
Yea definitely different buyers for different models…. My first was a 2008 sr5 back in 2008 new. Then I got a 2016 sr5 prem in 2016 new. I swore my next 4Runner would have memory seats and vented seats. I waited years for a redesign years….. Trd sport prem has exactly what I want. I would never...
Sometimes the dealers can use the tsb kits for the other models with the same issue so your don’t have to wait. Example, tundras have the same problem with brake noise but has had the issue since at least 2024 so more of those kits are available and use the same parts so dealerships can use...
You got a 50/50 shot of getting it fixed via the tsb. I have had mine since March and it’s made god dam awful noise since the following day and Toyota has official stopped helping me. Oh well some people are ok with getting it I am not. Haven’t had any luck finding anything aftermarket. I’ve...
