Yeah even mine had a few things tossed in, not nearly this bad and actual useful things like bigger tires, but still new models are always hot, and 4Runners/tacos are ALWAYS hot. It’s like the worst case buyers market.
Yeah I have no idea I think that might be the head and footboards they sale to go with the main platforms. I am linking them this thread and hopefully they can help clarify.
I don’t know 100% as I don’t have it yet but reading around it’s either hardwood or some kinda plywood. I thought I read somewhere it’s hardwood though.

How’s the MPGs lol? Mine came from the dealer with upgraded nitto 265/65/17 and I don’t get above 21MPG.
Fine for me I suppose as the stocks look anemic on this frame and body so everything’s a trade off.
