(2025 ORP) My garage is about 20'7"deep but the innermost 4' is a step-up of about 4" (a raised path to walk in front of the cars), so it's really only about 16'7" deep. I have no idea if this is typical, or small for a garage (it's a 1990's house), but a full sized truck definitely won't fit with the door closed.
When I park (front-first) the ORP with the front wheels just touching that 4" step-up in my garage, the liftgate will hit the upper horizontal rail on the closed garage door (needs a few more inches of clearance).
Fortunately I saw a Youtube video that showed, if you have the rear window rolled down, the liftgate motor is disabled. So I was able to push the liftgate up slowly (dang that thing takes some effort to open/close manually), just to the point below that horizontal rail on the garage door where I could see that it was going to hit. The liftgate would have crashed into that rail if I had tried opening it in automatic mode; glad that didn't happen.
So I guess I either need to reverse park if I need to e.g. unload groceries via the liftgate; or, put it in 4H when entering the garage and climb up a few inches onto the elevated 4' area.
How about for your garage and 4runner?
