I'm planning to do a cold air intake as soon as they're available. Likely going the TRD route that's on the pro bc I like to keep it OEM.

Anyone else planning to add one aftermarket? Wondering if I go OEM if I will need a tune since it's for the hybrid powertrain on the pro. I am new to turbo charged vehicles...

I've seen some people put the sixth element CAI from the tacoma in a 6g and it threw all kinds of codes on the dash, but it sounded insane 😂 ( I can't find the video but I think it was 4runner lifestyle)

The Taco forums have a bunch of good info, and turbo cars are always fun to play with.

Dyno runs show that 91 or better will net you 20hp/14tq. The inlet/outlet pipes are another worthwhile upgrade IMO. I am surprised I haven't seen any upgraded intercoolers, but I haven't looked that hard yet.

People laugh at performance upgrades for a non-performance car, but lower temps create better operating conditions and longevity. And maybe I do want to race that Odyssey minivan from a red light every now and then.

hell ya! I am currently trying to drain out the last of the 87 octane in my tank to start running 91. Stoked to see this new era of 4runner tuning play out.
