Feeling Very Lucky- Black on Black TRD Pro Confirmed

I live up in Northwest MT and have been looking at the 2025 4Runner TRD Pro and Land Cruiser to replace my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland High Altitude. I love my Jeep, but is has 80,000 miles on it and I thought it would be good to try to get as much value out of it as possible.

Long story short, I went into my local Toyota dealer about 2 weeks ago and got on the list for a TRD Pro. They called me on Wednesday of last week and said they were allocated one, a Black on Black, but there were 30 or so people in front of me. Then they called back yesterday (Friday the 7th) and let me know no one had taken it and it was mine if I wanted it. I jumped at the chance and secured it with a $500 refundable deposit! It's supposed to be going into build in a few days, with a late March deliver and I feel very lucky.

To everyone here, I've never owned a Toyota or 4Runner before and I'm super excited to go on this journey. Besides rock rails and a few other small things, it will be as is. Are there any other mods I should be looking at? I'm not a heavy duty, advance off roader, but I do like to get on the trails in my area and am a big road tripper. I wasn't interested in the $1,700 ARB roof rack, but I might be in an aftermarket one. Maybe some ditch lights as well? Any suggestions, thoughts, etc. would be awesome. You're very fortunate. I placed my order for the TRD Pro Black on Black in December. I was told I was the first order at the dealership for the new TRD Pro. This week I get a call from the dealership and was told they have a White one coming in and they would try and trade with another dealership for Black. That was a No-Go. Apparently there are only 4 of them coming into the US and I have to wait for the next allocation in March. I had him add another color and I'll take the first one he can get either Black or Mudbath now.

I don't think there's a rhyme or reason as to how they are getting allocated. The March allocation is the one that my Black on Black is coming in on it seems. They told me to expect it late March. The guy at my dealership said they would be lucky to get 2 TRD Pro's this year and they probably wouldn't come in until later this year and then the Black on Black was allocated. I am still a bit in shock that 30+ people passed it up before me! Black on Black wasn't my first choice, but I don't mind it.

Best of luck with your color selection! It seems like a pretty bad ass SUV...

My dealer informed me that their dealership allocation numbers are just four (4) TRD Pro this year.

I hope one of those 4 are yours! Are you planning on doing any mods? I’ve been looking at the Westcott Designs mods. They have a cool lift, roof rack and ditch lights. I’m pretty new at all of this!

No Mods for me. I've only considered some sliders on it, and additional protection on the underside.
