Hi all, apologies if this is in the wrong category...

I'll be financing at least some of the cost of a new 4runner and haven't been in the new car market since pre-covid. I know, times have changed. So wanted to get some perspective on what the expected interest rates will be, and what folks have done/planning to do to get the lowest interest possible.

With this year's federal reserve board's rate cuts, auto loan interest rates have come down throughout the year.

But the Fed just signaled that they'll slow down interest rate cuts next year so we may only see 1 or 2 cuts, and they won't be for large percentages. So I wouldn't expect a big drop or change in interest rates next year.

Tip: use credit unions for your auto loan! I've financed my last couple auto loans with credit unions because many of them have lower interest rates than dealers.

A good ones I've used (I'm in CA too) is Logix Credit Union: https://www.logixbanking.com/loans/vehicle-loans

They're showing new vehicle loan rate as low as 4.99% right now.
