Bike Rack installed on 6th gen - post your setups

Not mine, but here's a hitch bike rack (Kuat Transfer v2) installed on a 6th gen 2025 4Runner.

Anyone else running a Kuat or bike rack from another company?

I've used both Kuat and 1UP and like both brands. Please post up your 1UP rack install when you get your 4Runner. Which model do you have?

Super Duty, dual tray, wheel chocks, locks, etc. i have two ebikes so needed strength in the rack.

I have a Thule bike rack. Only issue is that once you hook up the bike rack the sensor would recognize it as if you’re towing something.

Is the towing mode annoying, beeps, warnings, ect. If so, can you turn it off?

Picked up the Kuat NV 2.0. Super solid. Test drove with the bikes on there over a handful of speed bumps—no shaking or getting loose.

It doesn’t beep but it will tell you it doesn’t recognize the bike rack. You can turn it off but it will keep asking you over and over. It gets annoying.

I don’t mind a light on, or one warning but not repeated.

What tire size is that you are running? Looks like the full size spare is fitting well.

Hey there,

I’ve been looking around for which bike rack could best fit my new 4Runner.

Ideally would like to put two bikes on it (both road bikes, so small tires). They are carbon frames so I want to make sure the bikes are safe.

I’ve been looking at the RambleRack from Rigd Supply, but I have a feeling this one might be an overkill.

anyone with experience on this front?

The NV2 is what I use as well. Also used to have the 2 bike add on for my boy’s bikes so we could carry 4. Sadly since they both drive now we are back to the standard 2 bike setup. Something about being teenagers and it not being cool to ride with us anymore. Hahahaha When I got my car I still rode by bike everywhere.

I installed a front hitch on my 2012 4Runner Limited which was super convenient when towing. Not sure if it will be an option eventually for the 6G but if it is I’ll be adding one.
