Currently have a 2016 4Runner Trail. I previously had a 1996 4cylinder 4runner that my son killed with 300,00 miles when he drove it with a stuck thermostat. 🤦‍♂️

I used to sell Toyotas until 2007, and always wanted the 2007 4Runner Sport Edition. In 2015, I bought one, and it was my all time favorite vehicle I've driven until we decided to sell it last year when it started having small issues come up at 230k. We ended up buying a 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport until the new 4Runner redesign comes out, so super excited for next year!
Welcome to the site Darin! 230K is a pretty good run, hope you get even more than that out of your future 2025 4Runner 6th Gen!

Welcome to the site @2002afan! Which 2025 4Runner trim are you looking to replace the 2016 with?

Thank you. I plan on getting the one that is most comparable to my current Trail.
The silver platinum looks really sweet.

I'm a relatively new member. Been lurking for awhile....joined a couple of months ago. I bought a new 2007 4Runner Limited nearly 18 years ago and it's been, by far, the best vehicle I've ever owned. Just basic maintenance. Never a real problem in 18 years. I love that rig, but it is getting older and my wife and I have made the decision to get a 6th gen 4Runner. I'm beyond excited!

I've been stalking all 6th gen related videos, articles, forums, etc... since April. It's great that we are finally getting some info released. It's been slim pickings for awhile now.

We're most likely getting the Platinum trim as you can probably tell from my member name. :) We live in Florida and the more street oriented trims suit us better. I can't wait for the press drive videos to come out. I devour any 6th gen news that comes out.

Right now, I'm trying to decide between Underground or Supersonic Red. I love how the black trim/wheels will pop on that Supersonic Red on the Platinum, but wonder if I'll still love a red vehicle in 10 years. The Underground is a safer choice and looks awesome, too.

I appreciate you main contributor guys hooking us all up with 6th gen information and look forward to being an active member for years to come!! 4Runner for life club!!

Hello all! Been lurking here a bit but with the new announcements figured it'd be time to register and really pay attention! I've been primarily a Subaru guy for the last few decades. Started with a '04 WRX which evolved into an '06 STi and my current ride has been a 2012 STi i bought brand new and have been driving for the last 12'ish years. In the 4Runner game I had the pleasure of owning a rare 1986 Turbo 4Runner (shown below) that i picked up as a rock crawler / hobby SUV. Was a great truck and heavily modified from the previous owner and i took down alot of trail and camping time with it. I ended up selling it to another guy i trailed with at one of the Colorado "Yota Jams" not long after i got married and our first kid showed up which cut way down on my outdoor adventure time for a bit. Needless to say I've been closely watching the 4Runner the last several years and have been pretty close to pulling trigger on a 5th gen recently but with the way the 6th Gen is sizing up it looks like i'm in the market to trade the old STi for the new new! I love the aesthetic of the 6th gen from the announcements and the drivetrain is right up my alley with the i-force max (which according to the tacoma's MPG numbers is getting better MPG than my STi does currently). Glad to be here on the ground floor all!

Couple pictures of my current and previous rides. Still have the STi and the '68 Pontiac :)

Beautiful '68 firebird! I used to have a 67 and wish all the time we still had it.

The sell went smooth, I got it for less than the sticker price. Manassas couldn't touch it.
Service was great when it was still under warranty. When I went for routine service after the warranty expired, they would always push to get something done that you didn't come there for.
I watched them give seniors like me enormous estimates of work that they said was needed on all types of Toyota vehicles. I get my Trail serviced now at Mechanics I have known for over thirty years and I buy my own parts and fluids at discounted prices. Hope this helps.
