Hello all, new to the forum but not to Toyotas. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum(looked for introductions). Please move if so
Anywho, me and the wife traded in our 2018 OR premium for the new 4R honestly because of the powertrain. So I have had a 2019 Ranger for 3 years and I absolutely fell in love when I test drove it because of the 4cyl turbo. The wife drove it after driving her 18 4Runner and said damn, I wish my 4Runner felt like this.
In 1994 my dad bought me my 1st vehicle(15yrs old)
1984 reg cab short bed all stock Toyota 4X4 sr5. As a teenager I put a 3 inch body lift. 15x10 steel American racing steels wrapped in 31x12.50 bfg ats and rancho 5K shocks. 45 year old male and yes my favorite movie is still back to the future. I held onto her until 1997 and unfortunately sold it like an idiot right?
2nd Toyota I owned was a 1997 Toyota tacoma extended cab 4.3l manual(2008-2014).
3rd was a 2001 3rd gen 4Runner auto(2014-2019). Put a 3 inch rough country suspension kit on it and went to town in the Rockies on some 5th gen wheels and tires(stock). Nothing fancy but damn good 4Runner that I got anywhere I laid my eyes on.
4th Toyota was a 1999 T-100 extended cab 4.3 manual(2019-2021)Awesome truck. Loved that little bastard and was probably the funnest ones to drive. Didn’t do a whole bunch of off-roading with it.
-2021 is when I got my ranger. Sold the T-100
5th truck was the wife’s 5th gen OR premium. Loved it, but didn’t do much off roading with it other than forest roads. Stock other than bfg ats.
