For anyone new to Toyota, here’s why you’ll see different incentives & rates between states & regions — because each region has its own specific incentives and rates. Here’s a map showing all the different Toyota regions in the US.

Also, a common question is if you travel to another region to purchase your Toyota, which region’s incentives apply — your home region or the selling dealer’s region. It’s the selling dealer’s incentives that would apply to your purchase.

As I mentioned in another post, I've had very poor luck purchasing a truck across regional lines. Two dealers blocked me from doing so. I've heard it said that dealers want to keep you local so that you will spend your money with them on servicing your new vehicle.

I haven't had issues from dealerships when shopping across regional lines. I'm in Los Angeles and dealerships from San Francisco, Denver, and Portland areas shown on the maps had no issues with selling the car to me. The issues I ran into are with financing through my credit union, since they all only allow me to purchase a vehicle within CA.

In this situation, I just initially finance with the dealership and then immediately refinance with my credit union before my first payment is due.
