But the stock 20s are 8” wide
Yes they are . Those tire are at the minimum requirement. I feel comfortable in the middle at 9” .
My new rims will be 8.5” wide on 275/60/20

Ok gotcha, do you think there will be any issues with those tires on the stock 20s having the minimum width?

A salesman sold me a set of big tires . For my rim that were the minimum width . After 20,000 miles were the tread meet side wall. All the tires cracked like they were dry rotted . Tires to wide on a small width rim has a ballon effect look. My Tahoe was 6,800lbs pulling a 5,000lbs boat. The swaying of the vehicle left to right caused by wind could had contributed to it.This was 20 years ago on my Tahoe. The new technology, rubber , engineering of making tires has changed since then. You maybe ok with the minimum width

Can I ask a dumb question. On both rear doors, is there a lot of play towards the top/back of the rear doors and vent windows (triangle pieces)? Mine does on both sides and I was curious if this was normal.

Hey, thanks for posting your pics. Your tires look badass! Are you still not experiencing any rubbing or anything? I saw that you said you were still going to get a lift, is that just because you want one or because you need more room for the tires? I'm in the market for new tires for my TRD sport as well but I'm not wanting to get a lift if I can get away with just new tires.

Yep @samuelvelas says in the first post "No rubbing at all." 👍
