My TRD Pro is Built & Shipped (Vessel Depart)! Expected March Delivery

My salesperson just confirmed the build is starting today and it scheduled to arrive towards the end of March. I still have some time to change out the PIOs, which I've already done a few times. The others that you don't see above are: integrated dash cam and the side storage lantern. I'll keep this post update with any new news that comes by way. Thanks!

Update 2/18/25

Afternoon! Thought I'd give ya an update as to progress. I stopped by the dealer this morning to say hello to my sales guy and check on the process of the TRD Pro. The good news is that it's showing that it was loaded onto the shipping vessel and making its way to Portland! We'll see how long it will all actually take, but it's saying an arrival at the dealership between March 8th and March 29th. Based on the progress bar in the picture, it will be the later part of March before it's ready to go...

Also, I just really paid attention to the VIN and its pretty low number, like below 410. I am a tad concerned about it being that much of a new build. Should I be? Any thoughts?

This is great news for everyone who has a hybrid model deposit. I think production was supposed to start end of the month originally so this is definitely as early as we could have expected.

Black on black TRD Pro is gonna look menacing @zgreen! You've got a much stronger stomach for cleaning/detailing than I've got lol.

Yes indeed! Let the production begin! Well, Black on Black wasn't my first choice, but I'm cool with it. I guess I'll have to sharpen up my detailing skills!

GREAT NEWS! I'm waiting for TRDOR P. hybrid. Gears are turning in Japan!
-on a side note : the dash cam PIO, felt very obstructive to me on a test drive...

Hi there. So have a question for ya. I'm looking for a 2025 TRD Pro in black, just like yours. It seems almost every dealer in my state (WA) is telling me that I can't order one and that it's at least a 6-9 month wait before Toyota will send them out to the dealerships. Basically, "if we are lucky to get one, when we get one, we can give you a call." I found your post and am confused. How the heck did you get one coming and can I buy from your dealership if they are willing to order one?

Hey there @3RIV1 Apologies if the post was confusing. I didn't actually order the TRD Pro from the dealership. They had an official list of people that were interested in the TRD Pro, which I put my name on, and there were about 30 people in front of me. They all weren't reservations or paid deposits, just on a list.

The dealer was surprisingly allocated the car and they proceeded to call the people on the list and worked their way down it, until someone said yes. For whatever reason, all the people in front of me either passed or didn't call back in time. When it got to me, I jumped at the chance and put down a $500 deposit to hold it. I just got really lucky man! From what I understand, Toyota doesn't take build orders and the vehicles just get allocated to the dealers twice a month.

I was thinking about trying to get on waitlists at as many dealers as possible, before this happened. Maybe that is the way to go! Feel free to give Kalispell Toyota a call! Hope this all makes more sense. Thanks!

I am not buying a TRD Pro, but for the trim I am buying, about two months ago before the allocations starting hitting the system, I sent an email to every Toyota dealership withing 250 miles of me, telling them what i was in the market for (trim, color, options, etc.). Well I have been getting emails and calls for the past few weeks with dealerships that now have allocations for exactly what I was looking for.

So, as the OP said, just reach out to as many as dealerships you would be willing to drive to and buy a vehicle from if they were to get allocated your dream 4Runner.

Thank you for the info. Yeah, after reading and replied to the OP, I sent about 15 emails last night to the dealerships within 500 miles of me. Interestingly, Idaho dealers are saying that because this vehicle is in demand, they won't sell it to anyone outside their "zone." Ok.....
