Afternoon! Thought I'd give ya an update as to progress. I stopped by the dealer this morning to say hello to my sales guy and check on the process of the TRD Pro. The good news is that it's showing that it was loaded onto the shipping vessel and making its way to Portland! We'll see how long it will all actually take, but it's saying an arrival at the dealership between March 8th and March 29th. Based on the progress bar in the picture, it will be the later part of March before it's ready to go...

Also, I just really paid attention to the VIN and its pretty low number, like below 410. I am a tad concerned about it being that much of a new build. Should I be? Any thoughts?

I wouldn’t sweat that low VIN because Toyota has had a year now to correct any further potential issues on the 8 speed transmission in the Tacoma. Toyota has been making that 2.4 Turbo engine for years with great success and that iForce Max hybrid powertrain will be very reliable because Toyota has really mastered the Hybrid system.

Find comfort knowing that the Tacoma was the ginny pig so that this all new 4Runner will have continued success in reliability. They need to get this right for the Future.

That's awesome! Congrat's!! I wouldn't be. Heck, as long as it's warrantied, you are good, right? My wife and I bought one of the very first 2022 Acura Type S' that went into production at the end of 2021 and we are just getting ready to turn it in for a 2025... Have not had one issue with the 2022 for as new of a build as it was (Honda, Toyota, etc.). They are all pretty reliable vehicles and since the TRD Pro is built on a Tacoma/Tundra frame, I'm not worried about my TRD Pro when it finally comes in.. at some point... this year (hopefully). You will have to keep us all informed as you get to experience your new ride.

take the arrival at dealer with a huge grain of salt. it will vary depending if there is a qc hold, 3rd party transport company time (usually they are way faster than what is projected on the status screen). most will deliver within 1-3 days within a given region

Imagine a bunch of them going down some city/town all in Black? It'll look like the President is coming! HA!HA! Now that would be a great 4-Runner commercial!

Hope it gets there quick! As you’re on the East coast, do you know if the ship is heading through the Panama Canal and then over or do they all go through the Portland port?

I got lucky and got an underground, although anything but white would have been fine by me.
Damn! You did get lucky! I got a black on black, which wasn’t my first choice, but still excited about it. Post pics when it arrives!
