I maybe a new member, but not new to 4Runners. First was a 2000 SR5 which regrettably I sold. I currently own a '08 Sport Edition and a '22 Lime Rush TRD Pro. Now my wife just made a deposit on her Everest TrailHunter.

Yes, I believe I may have created monster. My love (some call it my sickness) for 4runners may have rubbed off on her. When we met she had a '03 TRD Off road Tacoma so it wasn't hard to do. She currently drives a '21 CR-V Touring which is nice but it ain't no 4Runner she said... Then she laid eyes on the Trailhunter and said she wanted one and not just any one, Everest. It might be slightly psychotic, but we will be traveling nearly 600 miles to get it. Road trippin for a Gen6 TH hell yeah!

🖐 to you and your wife for being a 4Runner only family to be!

How'd she go from a 2003 TRD Off-Road to a CR-V! Are you guys driving your 5th gen to go pick up her Trailhunter and then roadtripping back together in a 5th and 6th gen?

The Taco was suffering from frame rot and due to its build date not eligible for frame recall. With 330k miles on the clock it was time to let it go. I put her in the fur-runner for a couple of years while I drove my SuperDuty. We wanted something more fuel efficient, started looking for slightly used Rav4's. What we were finding was either they were asking nearly same price as new or had been wrecked. Then we found a super sweet deal on certified pre owned AWD CR-V. It checked most of our boxes, until it didn't.
Now I was considering doing just, that taking MTN Dew to get the TH. Hitting a few ORV parks while we are there.

Do it and please document the trip. A MTN Dew 5th gen with Everest 6th gen in the wild will look WILD.

Why 600 miles away for a Trailhunter deposit? Better deal than local dealers or they had an actual allocation already?

Our area will not be seeing too Trailhunters mostly ORP SR5 and Limited is what you will find. Even Pros are rare. This is also not just a random pick of a dealer, friends and family live in the area. We were also scratching our heads for a vacation spot so...

Congrats on the Trail. We are driving 945 miles from central FL to Louisville, KY for our new Premium OR-4R-PT4WD- Everest, with some options, on rail now from Portland, should be there in 10 days. Left Tahara 2/2. Local Toyota dealers we used fed us a lot of BS, one wanted $5K market adj.
