Good video. You usually don't see the detail on the mods in the wheel wells like this.

I've got to wonder how much a custom lift affects all the fancy computer safety stuff, adaptive cruise control, etc. (and how the warranty on those things is affected after a custom lift). Toyota provides some guidance on this in the user manual, but it's pretty vague IMO. I was also talking with a Toyota salesman about having the dealership do a 2" lift that keeps the warranty valid. I'm not sure what tire sizes are supported or details of the components they use yet but I was looking at a Tacoma that had a lift and they said they could do the same on a 4Runner under warranty.

The running boards look good and are probably OK for most use. But are they really rock sliders? I'm just imagining smashing those things and having them bent up over the door on rocks. I'm going to "try" to not abuse my shiny new 4Runner right off the bat (I've got an old Wrangler for that), but I've smashed very similar looking running boards before.

I always wonder why sites (and reviews) don't mention the static and dynamic load capacities for their "ruffracks" ;). This guy might have a valid point that the roof will fail before the roof rack does, but I still like to see static/dynamic weight capacities mentioned (I need to look more into this in general for a roof top tent after my 4Runner arrives - also need to know if/how it will interfere with the moonroof).

That's a pretty nice looking 4Runner. Mine will probably look that shiny exactly once.

Bigger tire size will definitely affect all tire size related functions like speedometer, odometer, cruise, distance etc... but hopefully that the tire size is a configurable parameter that can be changed either from the menu or OBD since different model like SR5 has smaller tires.

Do we know what the max tire size is for the spare?

Is your 4Runner going to be black @Wubzy? Bronze wheels would look awesome on a black 4Runner with bronze badge overlays, like this

It’s Everest. I plan on getting the bronze overlays as well.
