Interesting question. Iāve gotten the extended warranty on Fords & not had to use it. I didnāt figure you needed to on a Toyota. Isnāt that what youāre buying one for? I guess though their finance departments still would try to sell you one.
It couldnāt be a wheelbase thing could it, with the larger length of the Taco allowing for more stability when towing? Otherwise powertrain is the same & Iād think frame construction would be too, minus additional length. I didnāt look up weight or payload ratings for either vehicle.
Count me in as a fan. If youāre going to go grayscale to me this is the most interesting color to choose. Plus itās probably relatively easy to get an allocation for vs. non-grayscale colors.

Hereās what I see in Alberta. Iāve never seen any kind of federal law. The way I read it thankfully they canāt charge above MSRP just because...
Thankfully they never seem to follow exchange rates exactly but price according to each individual market. Iām assuming primarily based on competition & affordability.
While this doesnāt bother me (Iām the guy who wants the biggest screen possible), do other cars not have a button to shut off the screen? Bottom right corner button makes it go dark, Iām assuming for this very reason of too much light inside the cabin at night. I havenāt experimented with it...
Your color theory makes sense to me. https://www.autoblog.com/2024/04/10/toyota-4runner-trd-pro-colors-through-the-years/
Did any of the other exclusive colors go through to the normal lines the year after? I think they mustāve but havenāt followed anything Toyota closely enough until recently...
So the two weāre missing out on are the TRD Sport Premium & TRD Off Road then? Thatās not ideal for middle of the road buyers then if you canāt choose either Sport or Off Road in normal or premium. They canāt offer everything I get it, but it seems they like to offer less here even though it...
Does anyone have any experience with hybrid vehicles, does that mitigate the speed factor for mileage much at all? Iāve noticed the same thing. <75mph I can get up to 30mpg, exceeding the Hiway rating of 26 in mine. Now admittedly that takes ideal conditions. But 80mph is enough to drop it...
If this color comes on platinum, thatād be my choice in 4R! This color completely reminds me of 90s green. Not quite forest green, not quite teal, but a nice combination of both.
Love the new 4R colors! Trying to make some guesses based on the Taco and LC.
Well you can predict white/black/gray/silver of course. So, depending on model, that looks something like:
Black
Ice Cap
Wind Chill Pearl
Underground
Meteor Shower
What Iām not sure is on the more interesting...
Thanks for that! Iām not a video guy so your tip let me pick exactly the small bit I needed.
Now I wonder if the 3rd row will be optional on some or all trims?
Ah yes, thatās right, the hybrid isnāt standard on the limited but it is on platinum. Once you add that option on Iād hope the cost diff wouldnāt be very much, but itās still probably more than Iād think. But for me Iād probably just go platinum & want all that stuff anyways. Then wonder why...
Iām really curious to know what the platinum might offer over the limited. Iām assuming the limited will be similar to the Taco, so have say cooled seats, which already puts it on par or ahead of other midsize offerings. Nice rendering! Thanks!
It is kind of a double stack with grille & bumper. Not surprisingly with such an angular design & largely based on the Tacoma thereād be an awkward line here or there. The rear door handles not lining up I notice more, though no way to avoid that. Overall though this is a great design! I...
They appear, not surprisingly, incredibly similar. Aside from the height. Is that all a reduction in headroom? Or would you hardly notice & itād just make it easier for parking garages?
I see a lot to like in these pics! But then I rather like the new Taco as well and this is basically the 4 door SUV version of that, much as it used to be. If pricing undercuts the LC, I can see a really compelling choice in the 4R.
I was really surprised seeing this color in person actually. I thought it was pastel yellow almost like Fordās Yellowstone (which really does look pastel yellow to me). But in person, again perhaps it was the lighting, it looked much more subdued tan & I really liked it.

I assumed theyād been taken offline as apparently Iām not the only one getting nothing going...
I wouldnāt have thought $59K to start should be a huge stretch for the 4 runner, but given the LC starts at $69K, that would undercut it a fair bit. Which might be just the product differentiation theyāre going for.
Have they mentioned yet where the 4 runner might be built? I wonder with LC...
