Stay AWAY! Transmission issue in Tacoma

Something tells me, you believe that anything related to a delay is supply chain related. You sounds like a dealer.

    2025 4Runner Release Date: March 2025

They are called "early adopters"...the 1%'ers which applies to any new shiny object, but it's not indicative of overall demand. And lots of people have said they are boycotting the 4 cyl engine already.

Stay AWAY! Transmission issue in Tacoma

Does it say anywhere what the estimated time to fix is? Like, it's it a 30 min job or 3 hours.

Stay AWAY! Transmission issue in Tacoma

Doesn't seem to be a supply chain issue based on the TSB that's been released.

Way to go newbie (dealer). No they aren't. They will supply plenty to drive revenue and shareholder value. You don't limit supply to drive revenue. They will be more than profitable at MSRP and below.

Trailhunter 4Runner tested off-road by Outdoor Auto: Impressive + FAST

That's partially due to the 8 speed transmission compared to the sluggish previous generation. I wish they went with the 10 speed as it would be even better.

First Photos: 2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, and Platinum Trims 🤩

Those seats and material look as consistently bad as all past Toyota's have. I was hoping for something better. That's unfortunate, but predictable coming from Toyota.

    2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road Spotted!

If they were slo-rolling out the excitement, they'd be doing this in California instead of TX, no?

    Bought a 5 Gen 4Runner TRD OFF ROAD 2024

What I was comparing was Toyota's "Legendary quality and reliability" I think I laid it out in my reply to Jucame63. and that point is not "apples and oranges" since it centers on the manufacturers overall reputation and not specific models. I have since decided not to purchase the 4runner and...

This is new 8 speed tranny, correct? Any more information on this issue? Perhaps this is what is causing delays with the 2025 4-Runners.

    2025 4Runner Release Date: March 2025

I never accept so called "mandatory" add-ons. You don't need to either. The cost to a dealer is negligible, but they charge an outrageous amount to pad their profits. Yet another scam by dealers that has been ongoing for years. I had this package on my Acura as well Ford....And declined to...

I got to drive a 24’ MY 4Runner TRD Pro and honestly I understand why people miss the V6.

The 4 cylinder will actually run better with the 8 speed tranny....I promise you. It's why I have a Ford at the moment.

2025 4Runner 6th Gen's US Launch Delayed Until Dec-Early 2025 Due to Shortage of Parts

if they do release in in Q1/25, they will be timing the market as rates will be lower. Might be needed if we start heading into a long-overdue recession? Side note: I don't know how anyone can afford anything. Credit card debt is at an all time high and more people are delaying payments. Not a...
