Actually yes, I almost went to work for RR aero engines as an apprentice, many years ago.
I'm fascinated by turbine systems and how pure jet vs low and high bypass fan, and Geared TF engines operate. When you understand how they work and what makes a wing fly and varying lift by speed or as...
Still waiting to drive a TRD Sport or Limited, but to respond:
I think I already mentioned (somewhere here) that I don't expect 4 cylinders to sound like 6 and agree that that the old 6 when pushed isn't exactly quiet. My point was that the Tacoma TRD Sport and LC 1958 had unpleasant noises...
Personally, I'd go Sport Premium.
We currently have a TRD Sport, but the extra creature comforts seem worthwhile to us.
Waiting to drive one and check the 4 banger noise.
The US has always been used to dealers pushing 3-5K oil changes, in the days of mineral oil and no additives if was a good idea because of sludge buildup.
As oil technology improved, especially detergent acting additives, it became unnecessary, but dealers kept on pushing for it because it's...
I couldn't understand how you thought the Sun/Moon roof added headroom, until I realized you were addressing the height to glass and not with the shade pulled across. Otherwise, the headroom is less than without the sunroof as our current 4R. The roof being grey (not black) also makes the...
I was talking of the official Toyota warranty. As noted by another poster, your local dealer hates it when someone offers such a deal (normally out of state) but they aren't prepared to lower their profit.
The comments on cars and wives made me laugh, I have been married to the same lady for over 50 years and the current 4R is her daily driver. She loves the high driving position, quite likes the new car exterior design, but not the interior.
We live in a very hilly area and we drove the Tacoma...
Back in 2017, I purchase our Rav 4. I had searched on various Toyota forums and found that certain dealers offered the official Toyota extended warranty at steep discounts. I purchased the 10 year warranty (it was a comparative steal) so I have a couple of years left. The thing is, I have used...
I think the 2025 6th gens look great on the outside :)
Not so much the inside...
The mandatory black ceiling and front B(?)columns.
Limited interior color options with external colors and by models.
Tractor sound when pushed (it's not turbo whine).
Enormous Toyota on the glovebox...
I would love the GX 550 for the reasons you mention, especially the engine, but it would not fit in any of my 3 garages (its an old house) and it's a bit out of my price range. I'm waiting to drive the new TRD Pro Premium and Limited since they do have some features we like.
However, it looks...
Whats interesting to me is that few people are concerned about the interior colors. We tend to spend more time inside our vehicles than looking at the outside.
Yes, the color and feature options don't make a lot of sense to me either.
I understand options cause complexity in production, but until we can sit in a Limited and review the available headroom with seat high or get a TRD Sport Premium without sunroof and preferably not all black interior, it...
Yes, it's smart looking. Looks good with the Boulder color seats, unfortunately still with all the all black ceiling - my wife and I (our current 4R is her daily driver) are not into the current vogue of black interiors.
Think I read somewhere no such deliveries until end of Feb/ beginning of March, and that may be production dates. Therefore, with dealers will depend on your location for shipping and road transport times.
