Wanted to bump up the OEM SR5 tires just a bit, which were 245/70R17 (30.5” diameter).

Installed 265/70R17 Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires (31.5" diameter) on the stock SR5 wheels.

Very nice. What did you do with the stock tires? Did you trade them in?
I kept them but will sell if I can. Wasn't a trade in option at either the dealer (who did the install) or tire rack (who's quote was higher than dealer)

Any noticeable difference in steering / handling, ride quality or noise compare to stock SR5 tires?
Yes

There is a difference. The stock OEM tires are quieter, slightly lower mpg on the Falkens (though I'm not sure if any of it is related to the difference in tire size and what the computer is recording, there is a speed difference by about 1.5mph). Overall it feels more truck-like, but that was to be expected. Not a deal beaker but if I wanted maximum fuel economy and smooth road ride the OEM tires would be the ones to go with.

Steering wise I can tell the difference but not in any noticeably negative way.

Hi James. I have similar Wildpeaks on a Jeep Gladiator and have had good luck with them in all seasons. I also live in New England and have an SR5 arriving in a couple of weeks. What were the exact OEM tires that came on your SR5?

Mine came with the Yokohama Geolander X-CV G057 in 245/70R17 110T. I've seen other tires on SR5s in pictures so I assume these vary.

Are your new tires load range C or E? That’s a major difference in weight, IIRC. We have 265/70R16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires on my wife’s 3rd Gen Tacoma TRD ORP on OEM wheels. They ride very smoothly on the street and have good enough traction for the dirt riding we do. Haven’t tried them on snow yet but expect good performance. Your AT 4Ws are an improvement over the -3Ws. Good choice!

SL load rating - from what I understand and how I plan to use the vehicle these will be plenty. Ride comfort dropped from the OEM tires, anything worse and I'd likely not want to keep these. C and E from what I hear are definitely heavier and thus a rougher ride.
