Hi, was reading recently about how the new Land Cruiser doesn’t necessarily need Premium gas, and can run on 87, but premium is the recommended to extract all the power the engine has to offer. I ruled out the model based on that since it’s a lot more to keep running than regular gas.

It made me wonder if there’s confirmation on what type of octane/type of fuel will be recommended for the 4Runner according to the manual (and not personal preference).

Again, I’m ruling out personal preferences and focusing on what the manual says.

Thanks!

The 2024/2025 Tacoma uses the same engine as the 2025 4Runner, and it just takes regular gas, so I'm assuming the 4Runner will be the same. Goes for the base and iForce Max.
