Do SR5 wheels fit 33" tire (i.e. 285/70R17) or what's largest size? Do 2025 TRD Pro wheels fit without modifications?

Question does anyone know if the SR5 with 17" inch wheels would accept an aftermarket 33" inch tire with no modifications?

Also, would the 18 inch rims/33 inch tires from the 2025 TRD Pro fit on a regular SR5 with no modifications? Thanks.

You can fit 33's on factory SR5 17" wheels.

Here's two examples of 33" tires on stock SR5 wheels on 2024 Tacomas (same fitment as 2025 4Runner) without modifications and no rubbing:

I'm looking to increase the tire diameter on my SR5 2025 - my goal is to have a more rugged aesthetic tire plus slightly larger diameter/height tires - considering the Falken Wildpeaks.

When I spoke to Toyota parts dept. they basically said I can't increase diameter, at least not according to their "official" requirements of what they are allowed to recommend. It will result in the speedometer being slightly off, but does anyone know if there are other issues, or if the warranty is voided by going to a larger tire?

From my research I am interested in going from the 30.5" diameter OEM tires to around 32". When I use www.tiresize.com and compare here are the results, which gives a pretty significant speedometer error. Who has experience with this to put my mind at ease about taking this step with a new vehicle?

I been running tire 2” taller for 6 years. If you going 55mph you really doing 57mph. How many of yall run over the speed limit anyway?. If you miss goodie good driver just drive 2 mph under the speed limit
