I checked codes on mine when it had less than a 100 miles and Carista also showed a ton of stuff, similar to your experience.

I know they say Carista is not supported yet, so I just made my adjustments to the simple features like removing passenger/rear seatbelt dings, window roll down, etc and moved on. 1500 miles now after 3 weeks and haven’t bothered to check, but everything feels fine with the truck.

Response from Carista. Their website and the app only list the 2024 5th gen as supported. Either they have not updated the list or they are feeding me a line!

Thank you for reaching out! Please attempt to reset the fault codes and inform us if they clear or if any remain. Your vehicle (2025 Toyota 4Runner) is indeed supported by our software and hardware, so the faults you are encountering could be genuine—though they may also stem from temporary glitches or communication issues that a reset might resolve.

Thank you!

Still no codes so maybe it was residual from the build?

I did also find one possible culprit. I use battery tenders (the real brand although they are made in China and not Florida). I was not going to use the 4R for a week so I hooked it up. This was before I checked for codes.

A week later, I disconnected and when reconnecting, realized the charge was set to 6v not 12v. I messed with the settings and concluded the device was bad. I don’t know if injecting 6v at the battery would generate the 8 codes I got but I am not about to repeat.
