I test drove a '25 4Runner Sport Premium without a moonroof before reserving an Off-Road Premium with a moonroof (you're limited what they give you in test drive availability and 4Runners available to reserve right now). The 4Runner I test drove did not have a moonroof, and I have since read some comments about headroom "concerns" for backseat passengers for 4Runners with a moonroof.

I am hoping to hear from people that have purchased or test driven a '25 4Runner with a moon roof. I don't know if/how the fact that I'm looking at an Off-Road Premium trim and non-hybrid might be relevant to vehicle geometry, but all the better if you have a close configuration to what I'm ordering.

Please let me know what you think about the headroom (and general comfort) of being a passenger in the second row seat (back seat) of a '25 4Runner. Since it's relative (not to get too personal!), I am also curious if you are below, average, or above average height (since I'm sure this effects experience and opinion of whether the headroom is "good" or not).

Thanks!

FWIW, I drove TWO 4Runner Off-Road Premiums today, the one I just purchased and one just before that while I waited for mine to be ready. There's plenty of headroom in the front. In the back, it will be tight for tall people, however you can tilt the seat back and it's a lot better.

Just to follow-up on my own concern. We ended up buying a 4Runner with the moonroof and my son (that's about 6' 1" now I'm guessing but still growing) is comfortable in the backseat. He tilts the seat back because it's a little more comfortable.

In the front, the seat is perfect to me after some adjustments to the power seat. FWIW, there's a lot of variability in those seats. Out of curiosity I put the seat all the way back and could still touch the pedal with my toes, but not my heal (I'm 5' 11"). On the flip side, if I push the seat all the way forward and up, I'm not sure I could even get in (I adjusted it while I was outside the vehicle and didn't try getting in). I'd say it should accommodate someone a few inches shorter or taller than me, but can't speak to individual comfort. I had a Ram 1500 before this that had a lot more headroom, but there were other compromises having that vehicle.
