I emailed them for information on the color match for the fog light overlay. I guess, the issue is the color from the new led tirn signal and what is put out from the fog lights with the overlay? I could not easily see the difference in the picture posted.

Thanks
Prior to the second layer of film, the fog lights were yellow.

On the film, did you put a second layer on top of the first or did they send you a new color that replaced the original yellow. I think they offered yellow and amber, I selected amber.

I ordered both the Amber and switchback lights and I could not decide. Throwing money at it :)

They just sent a second layer of the amber color film. I just stuck it right over the top of the first layer.

I initially ordered and installed the Lasfit switchbacks. I liked the white look. However, oncoming traffic in my area didn’t. I think they thought I had my brights on.

I also discovered my headlights were at their highest cut line level. The 2024 Tacoma, and I assume the new 4Runner have a little dial left of the steering wheel that lets you adjust the cut line level.

I installed the Lasfit Amber leds, lowered my cut line two notches to (1), and added the film to the fogs. No oncoming traffic flashes me anymore.

Did you buy the second layer of film or did the vendor send a replacement?

Could they have sent the incorrect color (yellow) or was it just the amber film not working with one layer..

Thanks again.

I spoke to the fine folk at TacoVinyl about the Amber matching between the 4runner turn signal lights that are using the Amber LED after market light bulbs from LASFIT and the stock white fog light bars.

I would suggest that the light produced by the LASFIT LED bulbs to be different in color and light intensity that the stock incandescent bulbs. Therefore, the film on the fog lights may need to differ in color, thickness, etc.

Like the CrispyTacoLover discovered, he used two layers of film to get the matching closer. The vendor will look into a thinker film but for now, if you are going to put the film on your fog lights, but two layers.

4runner expected in late march.

Yes, they were very accommodating but I would not expect them to send two sets forever.

But realistically the first set of film is not Amber. It’s yellow.

Very nice people indeed but, I should note, I paid for the second set with a small discount but they were able to stuff it in the same envelope so only one shipping charge. I will try one, take pics a d try two layers of film. It sounds like they will source a thicker film in the future.

Thanks for sharing the idea and resources. I am a bit reckless buying accessories for a truck I have not purchased yet, just a deposit and wait.

I posted this in another thread, but here's a GIF animation that shows exactly how the Lasfit T3 Switchback looks when installed in the TRD Off-Road Premium headlight assembly. Pretty damn good if you ask me!
