2/18. Follow up here, I just made a deposit on an Everest 4R-TRD-OR-Premium, Louisville, KY, 944 miles from our home in central Florida.

First order with dealer, Everest-2025 4R-Premium-TRD-Off Road, PT4WD. Got the word yesterday, Everest to this area, zip 33852 near West Palm, FL, not available here for 3 more months. This order showed #8672.

Now, they have another same unit, except less options, be here in 5 weeks, I can have that, Underground, moon roof, boxed mats. #8672A.

The first order sheet did not show Turbo, and this second unit is showing Turbo. Any info is appreciated.

Brumey - When we lived in TN, we bought two Toyotas from Fox Toyota, in Clinton, TN, and one from Cleveland Toyota, Cleveland, TN. We would have bought the third one at Clinton, they could not get it to us in time for our travel schedule. Fox Toyota : KC Ramsey.

well depending on who you ask ..... this is all i could find

In a Toyota model code like "8672A", the "A" typically signifies a specific trim level or option package, often indicating a base or entry-level variant of that particular vehicle model; in some cases, it could also represent a feature related to the car's design or engine, depending on the specific Toyota model and year.

Key points about the "A" in Toyota model codes:
Base model:

Most commonly, "A" denotes the base trim level of a Toyota vehicle, meaning it has the standard features without any additional upgrades.

Region-specific:
Sometimes, the "A" could indicate a model variation designed specifically for a certain market or region.

Engine variation:
In some cases, "A" might signify a specific engine option within a model line.

To accurately decipher the meaning of "A" in a particular Toyota model code, it's best to consult the vehicle's specific information or a Toyota parts catalog.

The 4R-Premium-OR-TRD Everest color, I made a deposit on yesterday, the exterior page is showing 8672-A. It also lists the body color fender flares. ??
The original order for the same unit, 5 weeks ago, just shows 8672, no letter designation, and no info on fender flares. That order did not jell, dealer called and said no delivery until May.

I’m not sure but it sounds like the A designation means base in Toyota language. If you want the TRD OR Premium, it sounds like you want the designation without the A. If you’re okay with cloth seats and the smaller infotainment screen, then you should be fine with what they have coming in. I’m guessing on that so do your research with the dealer. My other guess is that the Premium models were built first in the first allocations, and now you may start to see more of the non Premium and base models start making their way to dealer lots in the next set of allocations.

The 4R I just put the deposit on, Premium-TRD-OffRoad-PT-4WD, in Everest color, is the A designation, and showing body color fender flares.
The first 4R-P I had ordered did not have the A or any other designation on it, and no item of fender flares, just plain black. That order went south when they told me 3 months for delivery, which I thought was BS.
