This is the one direct comparison I was waiting to see. Glad to hear the 4Runner came out on top at Moab! Plus I much prefer its styling to the Land Cruiser which I thought was a nice looking vehicle until the 4Runner was fully revealed.

TRD Off-Road 2025 4Runner trim sounds like the sweet spot in the lineup... Its gotten me thinking about upping my budget for one. 🤔

The narrower vehicle can generally go more places.
Wheel base can play a factor as well I suppose.

I haven't been to Moab, but here in Arizona I think the most intense off-road trail I've taken my 4Runner is Broken-Arrow trail to Chicken Point in Sedona. That will be my test of the 6G.

Strong work TRD Off-Road 💪 And agree it looks better than the Land Cruiser when wheeling side by side, especially after the TFL guys removed the front air dam from their 4Runner.

I've seen other posts with people that have larger wheels and while a spare will fit underneath, the wheel hangs way too low for my comfort and this video validates my concerns.

And this is with OEM smaller wheels! I don't think I'd be doing any serious crawling with the new 4-Runner without finding a new place for the spare. This is pretty sad and any departure angle numbers being referenced really aren't going to be accurate with a spare tire impacting what it'll catch on. The 285/295 tires I've seen mounted underneath hang very low even compared to the stock 265's shown here.

That does look tight. But the decline angle was significant too. Could always go the route of mounting a tailgate spare tire carrier. Westcott already has one:
