Roof rack that works with moonroof?

Just impatiently waiting for racks to come out that will work with the moon roof.

I can’t tell if the trailhunter one overlaps where the moonroof goes or not but it seems like it may be an option even through it’s expensive.

On 5th gen’s there were some good options with moonroof inserts you could take out. We shall see…

I installed a full length Baja brand rack on my 2016 SRG. The rack has a cutout for the moonroof. The product was great, well made, etc., but......it was very noisy from the air/wind as driving down the road. Basically, I could no longer ride with moon roof open. I used it only once in the 3 years or so it was on my truck so I sold it. If I were to ever consider installing a new roof rack, it would be a low profile version. My Baja rack was like a cage type rack, not slim, low.

Hey Hayden,

The 3/4 ARB rack that comes with the Trialhunter is compatible with the moonroof. It was a PIO on my TRD Pro, which I had removed, as I just didn't want it and it was really expensive. I've spoken with both Westcott Designs and CBI/Prinsu and they both said their racks were compatible as well. And, both of their's are full roof, can hold a light bar and a lot more dynamic and static weight. Let us know what you end up going with!

I’m with you, I got real close to ordering the Trailhunter rack because it seems like the only option currently that doesn’t cover the moonroof.

Hoping Prinsu comes in clutch here soon with a 3/4 rack.
