Hey all, Weston with Rhino-Rack here with a sneak peek of our R&D team hard at work on the new Reconn Platform for the 6th gen! We have some awesome stuff cooking with Toyota and will be able to share more in Jan-Feb.

To give you a better idea of the final look and feel, here are a few shots of the Reconn Platform on the Land Cruiser and GX550.

Might be a weird question... but how much different are the factory roof rack mounting locations on the 5th gen vs 6th gen? Will any existing racks be able to swap or no? I know it's very unlikely, just checking.

Not weird at all! Most likely not. Our engineers estimated about a 70% redesign on the 6th gen, using the 5th gen design as a starting point (pictured below).

The philosophy is pretty similar at a quick glance including the factory raised rails, but from a geometric, spacing, adjacent angles, etc. perspective it's different enough to necessitate all new designs for most full-length systems
