I have a hybrid TRD Off-Road Premium coming in late March and wanted to know if it comes stock with the running board or not. There is nothing on the build sheet about it, but didn't know if it's just stock. Might need to start looking at rock sliders.

all tundra do NOT come with any type of step as standard. if i am correct, not one toyota model comes with a running board/step as standard, they are always options.

you have to do it PIO or DIO. its always an option. i think the only FIO is the automatic running boards for any model

or go aftermarket

From what I can see from the build sheet for the ORP that I test drove, fixed running boards ARE standard on the ORP. I would think they'd be standard on the hybrid as well.

i stand corrected. funny how they make the fixed boards standard on some models now. they use to not have them as standard cause most would remove them and put better aftermarket ones on.

i had them added to my 14 as a PIO but you can barely get a foothold on them to be useful. the wife complains about them since she is so use to her 23 tundra have the auto boards and loves them.

I've got power running boards on my Tundra too, and they are fantastic. 4Runner is low enough that I will likely opt for no boards at all, I can just step in; But if I do get them, I'll get powered ones again.

I would never have bought them, because who in the hell pays THAT much money for a step?!?! But I got them for free, basically. I traded photography work for them...It was something that I would have photographed for fun anyway, sooo... :D

Since they've been on the truck for 12 years, and I've never had an issue with them, AND my wife loves them...I'll happily pay for them next time I have a truck that sits high enough to need them.
