Limited 4X2 or 4X4 for my usage???

I only drive about 6 thousand miles a year... Web based business. I'm never going off-road, but want a body on frame vehicle for towing a bass boat.

Should I spend the extra for 4X4 for resale value or just get 4X2 because it will strictly be city driving?

I'm waiting for a white limited with portobello interior.

p.s. I sure wish Ford sold the Everest in the U.S. so i could have another option to consider in the midsize SUV that's body on frame. They are super dumb!

id say 4x4 for 1 resale and 2. full time 4wheel drive has better road manners. not to mention better control in rain/snow/ice..

since you are either SET/GST (baton rouge) predominately your region will lean to getting more 4x2 than 4x4 Limited's.

it will just depend on how long you want to wait for a 4x4

I hear you on the Everest. Nobody competes with Toyota in this segment. I’m too far north apparently though to answer the 4x2 vs 4x4 question as I didn’t even realize the 4R came in a 2WD version.

I sure wish Ford sold the Everest in the U.S.

They do, it's called the Bronco. With both being built on the Ranger platform there is too much overlap to build both of them for the U.S. Similar to how many think the 4Runner and Land Cruiser are too similar and compete against each other.

No No No! That's almost like saying a Grand Cherokee is similar to a Wrangler. The Everest is what the Explorer used to be in the 90s. Body on frame and can get in more luxury trims vs the Bronco. It also has a much more quiet cabin because the roof is not removable.

Unless you're really price sensitive I would say get the FT 4WD. Disclaimer, I usually don't recommend 4WD trucks/SUVs if they're part time 4WD. For example, I live in the south and lots of people buy 4x4 trucks and use them as street queens; they rarely or never switch to 4WD.

But with the Limited's FT 4WD you never have to worry about it, it's always on. Same thing with Audis, or Jeep GC, I wouldn't get one without the Quattro or Quadra Drive system. The best part about them is they work so well in the background you will eventually forget it's 4WD.
