Does the front passenger seat also fold back/forward, so you could, for example, carry a few long 8-10' 2x4's, or an 8' long narrow box, inside with the liftgate closed?
In the rear photo, the 2025 looks a lot wider than just 2" wider. Must just be an optical illusion since the spare amount of parking space does look about the same. Anyway, I wonder if anyone ever fact-checks manufacturer's dimensions and specifications.
I see what you mean. I wonder if that's a mistake. It seems that ON would be the natural default, given that the FOB has a dedicated button for it (i.e. the dealer would get post-delivery calls from every owners saying, hey my FOB won't open the liftgate). Also not clear why they would make this...
Interesting. I hadn't heard about the tundra (and I presume the power tailgate tacoma models too) issue with hitting the garage door. Do you know if it has actually damaged a garage door (that would be an expensive accident) or is it more about damaging the tailgate?
On Carista, the website...
You might read through the manual. There's a looong section about the liftgate. I only scanned it quickly but I think you can disable the FOB from being able to open the liftgate via some setting. If you did accidentally hit the FOB while enabled and with your rack in place, you can quickly hit...

AKoilhand: It's not entirely clear exactly what this list represents and what's missing, and whether there's any consistency to what's missing. There's no explanation of what criteria gets a VIN on the list to start with and what gets it removed from the list.
So it's best to consider these...
I'll share a few things I've learned about swaps from my main salesperson contact (~25 years with Toyota). All swaps have to be approved by the regional distribution center, and they do reject many of them.
Here's a map of Toyota's US regions: https://tinyurl.com/4hs395w3
Make a note of which...
Right, it looks like there's a separate database for hybrids, for all the other models anyway. It doesn't look like the script creates that file yet (for 4runners).
So it looks like the script needs something like this added to it:
{
"modelCode":"4runnerhybrid",
"title":"4Runner hybrid"...
If you're talking about the Westcott full roof rack that has sort of a solid surface of "pegboard" panels and no crossbars, it's interesting for the flexibility it would have in attaching things. But I'm not sure how you'd be able to easily clean underneath all these panels or dry it after a car...
Nice combo. I only see one everest listed at claremont toyota and they are asking $73k!!!!

I guess the wheels are part of the ~$15k in dealer add-ons since not on the factory sticker.
Everest is definitely an odd color when it comes to photographs. Seems every photo has slight variations. Anxious to see it in person, but no idea when that might be. Toyota's "dartboard" for allocating colors to dealers (and even regions) makes no logical sense. And the very "limited" colors...
I would also be unlikely to buy with a multi-thousand-dollar tariff.
Also keep in mind your sales tax increases proportional to the increase due to tariff, and to a lesser extent, your license/registration fee. So the impact is more than any tariff alone.
I bought a Dongar Pro adapter and a Vantrue 3-camera dashcam last black friday and installed it in my Gen-3 Tacoma but the adapter said it would also work in the gen-6 4runner and gen-4 tacoma. I didn't have to dismantle anything (just unplug the connector from the back of my Tacoma's mirror and...
