I selected “build vehicle” in Toyota.com. Selected Limited and I-Force Max. The two models show different mode selector knobs. It supports the castration comment!
I hope the photos don’t tell the correct story.
4WTBT responded in another thread about this. I suppose I am curious if it had lockers for the two differentials. Below is his take:
IF the 6G Limited is essentially the 5G Limited but with the new engine and trans....
Yes, in fact it's much more off-road capable than most AWD SUVs. This 4WD...
I am curious about how many wheels are actually driven when the differential transfer case is locked (in the Limited 4WD trim).
I understood that my previous 1992 Toyota 4x4 pickup would drive one rear and one front wheel in 4 high or low. Is this what the Limited will do?
I liked your take on practical operations, like the transfer case. Great relatable experiences you shared.
I had 1992 4x4 that wouldn’t go into 4WD after owning it for a while from new. I moved to Minneapolis and found a need for the 4WD, especially during the winter. Someone told me to just...
Rellims, is this your rig? I want this rack and I have a moon roof on mine. This photo has the moon roof and am curious if there is any interference. Another thought is if the rack needs an additional hardware kit for installation.
It would only take one rock puncturing your oil pan to make you wish you would have upgraded; It makes for a tough journey out leaking oil. This is cheap insurance. It certainly shouldn’t have been cheaped-out on Premium platforms!
Spoiler alert! I found an easily overlooked fact on a Taco forum exploring what you can and cannot use your inverter for. The inverter outlet is limited to 100W with the shift lever selected to “any other position besides P and N”. The maximum capacity is 120 VAC/400 W when the shift lever is...
A -Trac stands for automatic traction. Maybe try page 431 in the Owners Manual. It is found under the Owners section on the Toyota website. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your info and the thread link. It answered the power available question I had as well. Pretty good of Toyota to put a provisional connector up there!
I am going to get power from there as well for my Garmin Mini. Please share what you find up there, -like constant +12v and acc +12v.
If you end up snapping off anything, a heads-up would be appreciated. After the swearing…😉
I’m not sure if this has been posted or not.
I see the rack listed as PN PT989-89251 for $1,680. It states non-branded.
If you are a Costco member and purchase this at the dealership, it is $1,428. (-15%).
I believe that since the Safety Sense has updates, the software could easily be upgraded beyond the text within the manuals. Since this is the newest Toyota line, it would be easy to incorporate TJA and update the literature later.
that is to say, we may have been upgraded into TJA!
Perhaps…!!?🤔
My spec sheet for ORP lists (TJA) Traffic Jam Assist. I could not find it in the Owners Manual or the Driving Support Systems Exerpt. I easily found it in the Grand Highlander Exerpt, so I am curious as well if we get this. It would be used daily by me. I won’t get my ORP for a couple more weeks...
