I was told that they are doing this with the hybrids to check the battery every Friday. This Friday will be the 3rd Friday so I’m hoping after next Friday they will release the hold and get it to my dealer.

The text on that QC hold says "check back" every Friday, not check battery. Meaning, check the system for a release update. If they are checking the battery every Friday it's the 12V battery to make sure it still starts.

yeah i mis-read back for battery in the original thread that showed hybrids on 30 day holds.

So my sales person told me my platinum would be arriving at port Benicia on 03/20/25 we I went to the port website they got a delivery of vehicles from Japan on 3/10 and another is set to arrive 3/18 so hopefully mine is on one of the two. So for those of us in Northern California the hybrids should start coming in

Mine is at the port. Like others it was placed on QC hold. Be prepared for that.

the only reason i did it was to see if the dealer was transparent still. i know over the years they had a general manager that was shit and up-ended the process they had for years. he was eventually let go/fired since so many loyal customers skipped them when buying.

i was one of them, he low balled me so bad on our 2016 tacoma trade in ($3000), i went and bought our 2018 tundra from the bismarck dealer 106 miles away. they matched the tundra pricing but gave us $3000 more on trade in on the 2016 tacoma.

and i told my long time salesperson that was the reason i didnt buy from them.

but things went back to how it was and i buy from them again exclusively

Actually, I discussed the price with them on Monday By SMS, and they allowed me to delete some packages, and then they upgraded the configuration in the system.
I asked to delete all the packages, and they said the system does not allow this. They told me that They could keep the running board in package Only, the total will be 42770+Delivery fee 1545+package 1128. Unfortunately, I did not agree to this offer. On Tuesday afternoon, their manager sent me an email to tell me that they would try their best to delete the packages that the system allows to be deleted, and the price was 42770+delivery fee 1545+package 1332, which was slightly more expensive than before. But it includes more expensive and useless products, mud guards, all-weather floor mats, roof bar, cargo net, charging cable, cargo cover
I think they are trying to find a combination system without running board that allows them to build.
I decided to meet with them on Wednesday and pay the deposit.
When I wanted to choose the package that was confirmed on Monday, they tried to apply for an update in the system, but the system did not allow them to do so. I had to accept the price that their manager emailed me. This price is the same as the one in the form you provided.
I don't know if this is a trick of the sales manager or if there are some limitations in their system. I am still very happy to have locked in this new black car.
Because their original package price is as high as 3900+, I am glad that their manager allowed me to select somethings. I asked many dealerships in Houston, and they didn't give me any chance to make a package choice.

Yes, Toyota is continually building and allocating vehicles. They usually release new allocations twice a month.

Yes dealers get new allocations twice a month - in the first and third weeks.
