just spoke to someone from my dealership and told him I am looking for a Limited with a 3rd row in Heritage Blue. The salesman at the first dealership said Limited are hard to get by and I should come in and put a deposit down and build the exact one I wanted so they can get it for me. Is this a good option? Or should I wait and see? I am on several FB pages where dealers and brokers put up what they have. I found one in Underground at another dealership by me but I am more leaning towards the Blue. The other one I found has about $1,000 worth of stuff I don't need or want. At least with building my own I can avoid those added stuff. What do you all think?

They’re all probably going to have something that you don’t want. You should look and make sure it has the things that you do want. It’s nearly impossible to find the perfect match. They are not built to order. You can only choose the closest match at this point. The 6th generation is super hot right now. If you find something close to your specs, you’ll get it sooner than trying to build one to your specifications.

Looks like most of the people so far will be first time 4runner owners. Good sign for Toyota.

Question for the people already on their dealer's pre-order / deposit list -- are your deposits refundable?
Yes my dealer (in Colorado) says the deposit is fully refundable.
