Its not a fair comparison. Show a done up trd pro on big wheels next to the trail hunter. I want to like the 6th gen it's just a few pennies short a dollar.

Having only been a Tundra guy (2 generations of models since 2005) - I'm excited nonetheless since I have nothing to compare too! HA!HA! I just put a deposit down yesterday to be #2 on a waitlist for the TRD Pro Black on Black. I do agree with you on #4 - I was looking at that wondering, why does my passenger need confirmation that they are riding in a Toyota??? :) Also, no heated seats. They do a heated steering wheel but no seats?
Glad you were able to get the deposit in! The TRD Pro definitely has heated and vented seats up front. I don't think the back does though....

And once people see them on the streets, in person, they will say...."I want that."

But, some old school 5th Gen owners that cannot handle this modernization, they may give you the middle finger. LOL. Just kidding.
I already have a 2024 Tacoma so the “I want that” has already occurred. I’d really like a GX 550 but the supply/demand in my zip code needs to change some. Might be a few years.

I do like some of the 6th gen runner trims. If the BMW X5 fails, then we’ll see what my lady wants next.

Do you think the outdated less powerful 5th gen is a full dollar?
Didn't comment on the 5th being better. It's worse in ways I personally need it to be.
I want the limited with a rear locker and throw out the mandatory 3rd row. I like green but only trail hunter is offered in green in my country. Things like that. LC250 takes premium and no cubby storage up front it's like I can't get a break it's frustrating.

Oh, I see, you don't like either Gen very much. For me personally, there is not much to dislike about the 6th Gen. I guess I am just easy and do not have many demands from my vehicle. I live in a mild climate, I don't go off-roading. The Sport Premium I have coming is going to suit my needs perfectly. I hope you find what you need and want.

It does?? Nice!! It's missing from the spec items. All it says is "vented" whereas other 4-Runner models stated heated/vented so I assumed no heat.

The comments on cars and wives made me laugh, I have been married to the same lady for over 50 years and the current 4R is her daily driver. She loves the high driving position, quite likes the new car exterior design, but not the interior.

We live in a very hilly area and we drove the Tacoma TRD Sport and LC 1958 to get an idea of engine sound vs the 6 cylinder neither of us like the "tractor like" sound of the engine when pushed (power is fine). Hopefully the 4R Sport Premium will have good firewall insulation and sound better (quieter). I drive her old Rav 4 Platinum, it's a fun little rocket that doesn't sound like a tractor. So, fingers crossed.

We are hoping to drive the new 4R Sport Prem model before we have to decide to buy out our lease - for us older types the interior of the car is equally important to the exterior.

PS: the one thing about the LC 1958 we really liked was the full time 4WD - reminded us of the Full-time predictability of our past Subarus and BMW 330X, much preferred for variable road conditions.

Looks like we may stay married for a while longer.

When you say 2nd on the list for the black on black TRD Pro, does that mean at your dealership or nationwide? Reason I ask is because I put my deposit down on the same vehicle a week and a half ago and was told I'm #1 on the list and just assumed it was at that particular dealership.

A 5th gen owner posted this of his 4Runner next to the 6th gen Off-Road. 6th gen much better looking here as well.

If you asked 100 random people off the street, "Which looks better?".... how many of them would say 'the one on the left'? 85, 90? Maybe more. Hell, even if you asked 100 4Runner owners, "Which looks better, the 6th gen or the 5th gen?" How many of them, if they were being completely honest, would say the 5th gen? I don't even think it's close, but that's just me. Not on this forum, but on another forum, you'd be having lots of whiners crying about, "but...but...but what about the double moustache?" The double moustache is looking pretty good to me. Just my two cents.
