Does anyone know if the Toyota Gen 6 4Runners turn off the car at every stop sign or stop light and then starts the car when you want to accelerate? I hate that. I did notice an after market part for the 2024 Tacoma's to stop the starter from turning off at every stop light. I hope the new 4Runners do not have that feature.

non HV should have a start/stop button.

hv models will not since i think the electric motor will take over up to 18 mph like the tundra

its just too bad it doesnt sound like this going from electric to motor

technically its not auto(matic) on toyota's

the way toyota has it implemented, you have to press the brake past a certain point to activate the stop/start system

if you lightly apply the brakes to come to a stop the stop/start system is bypassed.

Auto Star Stop (ASS) is on the SR5 4x2, TRD Sport 4x2 and Limited trims.

If you don't like auto start stop there's defeat / disable device:

Auto Start Stop (ASS) Disable/Delete/Defeat Solution
Every person I have talked to who has that feature on their brand of car does not like it. I just feel it will affect a starter over the long haul with the constant starts while daily diving.

I guess that prevents the car from turning off every time you lightly press the break in traffic. I for sure will install the attachment. I wonder if it affects the warranty if you install it. Does it show it on the cars computer history if you take it off before bringing it in for a service warranty item?

So a SR5 4x4 would not have this feature? Getting conflicting information from the dealer. Set to take delivery next week.

Corrected this above quoted post of mine. The latest info is here:

SR5 has been confirmed to NOT have Auto Start Stop.

It appears that auto start stop only comes on the non-hybrid Limited trim. See this thread:

https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...op-but-do-not-see-the-button.2787/#post-39192

And this Limited (non-hybrid) delivery confirmed that a Limited non-hybrid model does have Auto Start Stop ASS (see the "A" button") -- see @Hobb3s' delivered Limited:

I am not sure about the warranty. I just know Tacoma truck buyers have been using it with the same engine on the new 4Runners. I read the hybrids will not have it and I will be getting a hybrid. Right now I am worried about the Tariffs and how much the 4Runners will cost us after 4/2.
