Thank you I see a lot of people saying it does. I wanted to make sure. The SR5 does not have auto start stop. The engine is on 100% of the time the vehicle is active.
Interesting, I always thought that the SR5 2WD had auto start stop. So then are there any trims at all with it?The SR5 does not have auto start stop. The engine is on 100% of the time the vehicle is active.
Most of the early reviewers who were invited to Toyota events didn’t actually see the USA spec 4Runners and saw the Canadian variants instead so most early content is dead wrong. No heated steering wheel, heated seats, ASS, or inverter plugs in the SR5 here.Interesting, I always thought that the SR5 2WD had auto start stop. So then are there any trims at all with it?
Yes sir. I am so happy. Most of the early reviewers who were invited to Toyota events didn’t actually see the USA spec 4Runners and saw the Canadian variants instead so most early content is dead wrong. No heated steering wheel, heated seats, ASS, or inverter plugs in the SR5 here.
I completely agree on engines without hybrid batteries in line.I am so happy that my SR5 does not have the stop and start engine system! I would have not gotten the 4Runner if it had it! I find it annoying, but it's my personal choice.
I normally don’t like auto stop/start but I was really impressed w how it worked in the Ltd that I test drove. If you come to a stop and push down the brake pedal w normal pressure, the engine stays running. But if you are stopped and increase brake pedal pressure, the engine shuts off. It then turns back on if you ease up on the brake pedal. So far, I've only found the start/stop feature available on the non-hybrid Limited.
So far, looked at limited hybrid, platinum & TRD Pro with none of them having the feature.
This is from the Toyota website when pulling up standard features.
