Does your dealer proactively update you on order status (build date, ship date, delivery)?

Need info. Every 4R we have purchased since 2008, (6), we have bought from dealer stock, or dealer advised what is coming in. This time, ordered from dealer, 2025 TRD Off Road Premium, PT 4WD, Everest.

Dealer says, maybe up to 12 weeks, OK with that. When any of you have taken delivery, have you gotten updates from the dealer, after your deal, about acceptance of your order, changes, etc.

My dealer contacted me with the original allocation ship date and what the spec was then updated me a few days ago that it was a week out

My dealer is updating me when they get a change in status. I asked them to. Last update was on Friday and the window is the 13th-22nd. Moved up from mid March originally. Before that update I was looking at other dealers sites as some provide the window and trying to watch the VIN numbers to delivery windows to ball park when mine is close.

I have had to email my dealer for updates. Today he said it was loaded on a vessel February 17th.

went and talked to the sales desk, my platinum still hasnt been picked up from allocation reserve request. will check back 1st week of march

btw allocation pick ups are done 1st/3rd week of each month in case people want to bug your dealer (toyota usa dealers that is)

this doesnt apply to GST/SET regions

Nothing yet, but it's only been a few days. Dealer said I might not see it for 6 months when I ordered it, but I assumed he was managing expectations and it would probably arrive in half that.

Dealer updates me every 2 to 3 days. Got 3 days left

meh, from what i remember allocations are only picked up 1st and 3rd week of each month. kinda pointless to update every 3 days.

now once an allocation is picked up and the build date is set, no point really doing a checkup until after its built.
