Update:
So I researched more, purchased a mirror, and installed it. I made a YouTube video of the process... I hope this helps someone...
Here's where I purchased it...

Hello! Brand new member here, just purchased a 2025 TRD Sport yesterday. I’ve only driven it a few miles, and so far, it’s fine... but I took a slight downgrade from my current 4-Runner, which is a 2015 SR5 Premium. I’ve given up the sunroof, Softex seating, and, unfortunately, the HOMELINK openers on the rearview mirror.
I want to immediately get a HomeLink opener my new 4Runner. I’ve rigorously searched this forum (for a few hours) and have not been unable to find much regarding upgrading this feature. The dealer did NOT have any options for me.
I have found these guys.... https://www.bobsmirrors.com/
But I’m unable to find information regarding the following:
How do you remove the black trim/console around the mounting area of the mirror? It actually
seems a little flimsy, and I really am concerned about breaking it.
Is there a “ready to clip into” power supply so a new HomeLink mirror will be plug and play?
If this has already been covered, my deepest apologies!
