This Trailhunter Tacoma gives us a preview of how the 2025 4Runner Trailhunter Hybrid will sound like -- engine, exhaust and snorkel during start up, revs and acceleration.

You can hear the turbo blow off valve (BOV) on acceleration. Video is shot with windows down.

The turbo spool and blowoff valve purging sounds sound cool to me, but add in the snorkel sounds and it might be too much to hear upon every acceleration?

Maybe the Trailhunter snorkel come with a cap / cover that you can block the snorkel inlet with... or the aftermarket will offer something

Does anybody know if the snorkel can be removed easily and put back when needed? Has anybody seen that for the Taco Trailhunter?

Is that with the window up or down? I haven't been able to find a Taco Trailhunter to test drive to hear it myself.

That snorkel is one of the reasons I am going with the 2025 4Runner TRD Pro instead of the Trailhunter.

Don't like the looks, sounds, or just won't be doing any water crossings?

I understand the snorkel for the trailhunter is not for crossing waterways but since it is an overlanding spec, it is to provide cleaner air to the engine.
The looks seem overly pretentious and the sound will become annoying after the novelty has worn off. But that is just me. This may well be the very thing many find attractive about the Trailhunter trim.
