Any updates on whether the dealer is going to install the black exhaust tips?
I’m in contact with Toyota trying to figure this out.

it seems like every pro is being delivered without the performance exhaust with black tips for some reason

Not sure if there's any correlation but it looks like even the pre-production press/test vehicles never had the black TRD exhaust tips, based on YouTube videos from last year after the reveal.

Spoke to Toyota and no help on that end.

They confirmed that “TRD performance exhaust with black turn down exhaust tip” is a standard option.

But that i would just have to wait and see.

Honestly the person i was messaging with and the other person i called didnt really know much or how to answer.

Understandable considering these things are just now hitting the ground.

So i guess when mine shows up i will let you guys know what mine has on it ! Lol

Yeah that’s a great point. It just seems weird that every PRO model in Toyotas line up would have that option but the 4Runner PRO wouldn’t.

Maybe it’s intentional ? Now I’m curious if it atleast has the TRD exhaust or if it’s a stock one that the other trims have ?

Toyota's website product specs definitely say the TRD exhaust w/ black exhaust tips are standard for the 2025 TRD PRO 4runner.

But I have noticed other inconsistencies with the Toyota website spec sheets. For example, the Toyota Newsroom website (https://pressroom.toyota.com/) listed the 2025 Tacoma TRD PRO and Tacoma Trailhunter as having the HUD as a standard feature. But that is not the case, neither have a HUD for 2025 (2024 model Tacoma Trailhunter did have a HUD, and then was removed for 2025).

So there's definitely inconsistencies with product specs on Toyota's end.

Could you please give us a date outline of each step? My car is in a train now and I want to know how long it's going to take to get to the dealer

Silly question, but when you have a chance can you look at your agreement you signed and let me know if it says Hybrid TRD off road or if it says TRD Pro. I just looked at the agreement I signed and it shows TRD off road, but the whole time I was buying a Pro. So now I am just completely confused.

Maybe it’s a miscommunication between you and the dealership? My agreement is showing trdpro.

I am going to be super pissed if they are trying to pull a fast one on me.

I asked the sales person about this and he confirmed he used the wrong spec sheet and vin. We got it all corrected. And I should pick it up today! I am so pumped!!!

I got my TRD Pro on Friday. Did the dealership tell you anything about the first 100 miles or anything? I could have sworn someone on here posted about needing to drive a certain way for the first X amount of miles.

Here are the instructions from the owners manual:

Breaking in your new Toyota

To extend the life of the vehicle, observing the following precautions is recommended:

â—ŹFor the first 200 miles (300 km): Avoid sudden stops.

â—ŹFor the first 500 miles (800 km): Do not tow a trailer.

●For the first 1000 miles (1600 km): • Do not drive at extremely high speeds.

• Avoid sudden acceleration.
• Do not drive continuously in low gears.
• Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods.

Thanks for sharing. Where is that in the manual? What's tough is I live in Chicago and sudden stops, and driving in low gears is basically all I have done so far.

I took delivery of my 2025 4Runner TRD Pro this last weekend as well, and will echo just about all initial review comments from @303FAIL - in his thread.

My 2025 is color black and was purchased at MSRP (~$69k) from Toyota of Puyallup. I traded in my 2021 4Runner TRD Pro and still have our 2007 4Runner Sport Edition. The 2025 drivetrain is a massive improvement, technology advancements and interior are excellent. The 2025 TRD Pro really looks fantastic in person. Complaints are few; outward visibility seems a little worse in the 2025 and the elevated cargo area floor is more noticeable than I thought it would be.

I just picked up my black Trd pro yesterday.

The Toyota heritage grill color on mine is just like yours. I think this one is considered the “reflective black “.. I believe there is a matte black one also. Also mine did not come with the black TRD pro exhaust tip either. Did you end up ordering it or getting it from the dealer?
