Hi All,
Today was the day. Finally picked up my TRD Off Road (Non-Premium) from an out of state dealership. No pics right now because it's been a very long day of work and driving but I can provide some insight on impressions though. For context, I'm coming from a 21 Jeep Wrangler JLU (Willy's). My TRD OR has the following items-
TRD Wheels
Cross Bars
All Weather Floor Liners
Mudguards
Badge Overlay & Badge Inserts
The Non-Premium is the sweet spot in my opinion! The screen does not feel like it doesn't belong. A 14" would be nice but during my drive, I didn't think about the screen size or lack therof. The sound system is sufficient, seats are comfortable (didn't feel the need for leatherett), and the fit and finish are very well done. I've heard complaints of hard plastics on the door panel and such but I honestly don't think anything of it. I know that I didn't buy a Lexus so I'm fine with that and it feels far from shoddy in quality.
In terms of the drive it is everything that I've heard about before. My previous vehicle was a 3.6L V6 in the Wrangler and this i-Force feels much better and far more responsive. The ride is super comfortable and it made a 4 hour drive feel like a joy. I've never driven the previous generation but I got out of the car with a smile. Also, the design is going to be relished soon. People are torn now but it is a very, very strong look! Very happy with my decision.
