Not sure if this applies to the non 14" screen but wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this.

To add your home address to your navigation (if you use the main nav not carplay), you have to do it in the app on your phone.

Steps:
  1. Open the app
  2. Click 'Find" lower right corner
  3. Click 'Destinations'
  4. Click 'Home'
    1. Here's the tricky part that's a super annoying stupid bug: when you go to type in your home address, it won't come up. So go into your phone app settings and turn "Location" to never. Then go back to the app and the address search feature will work. You can then re-enable your location services for the app. Real dumb. I looked around the internet for hours before my wife found this hack. Toyota is aware of the bug and said they're working on a fix but no ETA since November... No one on any of the other Toyota forums had found a fix. Now we have one. ✌

Great workaround. Will try when I get my 4R sometime over the next 5 days. They seem a little slow on what should be an over the air fix.

for those that don't like the security ramifications of adding your home address to the head unit, i usually just add the local police station as the home address. it fits the purpose for long distance travel returns to get close to home and you should be able to figure out the rest of the way home.

plus it never reveals your true home location. this mostly applies to bigger cities for car theft or other nefarious intentions of the car thief.
